Maria Kondoyanni has pursued studies at the Department of Natural Resources Management and Agricultural Engineering of the Agricultural University of Athens.
She has participated in conferences with announcements and posters related to space cultivation (International Workshop on Vertical Farming 2019, GreenSys 2019, 1st National Congress of IAAS 2018). She has contributed as a co-author to the paper "Santorini volcano as a potential Martian analogue: The Balos Cove Basalts" of the International Journal "Icarus" of Elsevier publishers. She has taken part in competitions and has received distinctions (1st place - Copernicus Hackathon Athens 2019, 3rd place - ActInSpace 2018, Finalist - Space Exploration Masters 2018).
In September 2019, she successfully completed the Space Challenges program in Bulgaria, which lasted 5 weeks. In this program, she attended lectures and workshops by space experts, and the team she was part of designed and developed an innovative payload for CubeSat, with the support of EnduroSat’s engineers.
Since February 2020 she has been an instructor in the Space Agriculture module in the space exploration educational program “Lunar Caves Analog Test Sites Greece” (LCATS Greece).
She has many years of work experience in the private sector as a teacher of science.
